Newly constructed, state-of-the-art facilities located right in the heart of our city are the reason why more and more artists, sports teams and major events are choosing Downtown St. Catharines.

Our downtown facilities include the Meridian Centre spectator facility which holds 5,300 fans for hockey games or 6,000 for other events such as concerts.

The FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre is a 95,000 square foot cultural complex that boasts four impressive theater facilities, including the largest theater which holds up to 800 seats for performances and live music.

This in addition to anchor tenants at both facilities like the Niagara IceDogs, Niagara River Lions, Niagara Symphony Orchestra, as well as the Foster Festival among others, means that Downtown St. Catharines constantly has something great happening year-round.
